Role Summary
The Freight Transport Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all freight transportation activities at Nadola Enterprises. The role ensures the safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods while maintaining compliance with transport regulations and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Freight Operations
- Plan and manage daily freight transport operations and delivery schedules
- Coordinate the movement of goods across local and regional routes
- Ensure proper documentation, loading, and handling of all freight
Fleet & Driver Management
- Supervise drivers and transport staff, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards
- Oversee vehicle utilization, maintenance schedules, and roadworthiness
- Monitor driver performance, conduct briefings, and enforce discipline where required
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure compliance with transport laws, safety regulations, and company policies
- Implement and enforce safety procedures for freight handling and vehicle operation
- Investigate transport incidents and implement corrective actions
Cost & Performance Control
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle expenses, and operational costs
- Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce delays
- Prepare operational reports on deliveries, incidents, and fleet performance
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with warehouse, logistics, and operations teams to ensure smooth dispatch and delivery
- Communicate with clients and partners on delivery timelines and service requirements
- Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Transport Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in freight transport operations
- Strong knowledge of road transport operations and safety standards
